The wife of a football fan was convicted of harassment after she pestered his friends to let him come home while he was watching the game.

Healey then began calling his friends John and Debbie Ashworth on their landline, blasting them as 'pedophiles' for not allowing her husband to be with them.

When Healey was asked to leave a martial arts club Mr. Ashworth founded because of her drinking habits, she fell out with her friend of 30 years, Mrs. Ashworth.

Eventually, Mr. Healey returned home, but his wife was later questioned by police about the calls to the Ashworths' Rock Ferry, Merseyside home.

On Thursday, July 20, Healey pleaded guilty to harassment and was sentenced to a 12-month community order and fined £80.

She must attend 20 days of probationary activity and pay £234 in costs and a victim surcharge, according to the court.

Healey allegedly abused Mrs. Ashworth via text messages, social media, and phone calls in the days leading up to the football match. After Mrs. Ashworth's landline was blocked, she began receiving numerous unwanted calls. During two hours, she was said to have called the house phone 59 times.

'Mrs. Healey was unhappy to be told
that she was no longer welcome at the club,' Mrs Ashworth said in a statement. Her persistent behavior continued despite my requests for her to stop calling me.

On October 22 last year, Mrs. Healey's phone was constantly ringing. I was at home with my husband, son, and her husband, Steve Healey. On the TV, we were all watching a football match.

Healey had his mobile phone with him,    but it kept ringing. As she demanded the dog back, she asked him where he was and when he would be home. He said that he would return home soon and bring the dog back, but he stopped answering his phone, so she began calling my landline.
